Chicken pox this morning- how long?!

DD has woken up with chicken pox this morning. She’s been at school all week, absolutely fine!

How long do spots carry on appearing? I’m assuming this week coming she’ll be off school?

I am currently on placement (doing a primary PGCE) and husband works so I’m guessing I’ll need the week off too!

I think you're 'lucky' it has appeared on a Saturday, when my son had it, albeit mildly, and had 3 days off school, sure they appeared on a Tuesday morning. Not many more appeared and scabbed over quickly!

Fingers crossed she’s not too bad but loads more have come up on her face and eye lids!

You probably know this, but your PGCE course should allow a maximum number of days absent per placement.

If you do have to take time off, make sure you know the maximum you can have off, and make sure DH knows he may have to take some time off too.

@cliffdiverwe haven’t been told how many days actually! But I have emailed my tutor to let them know.
