Sickness bug lasting 10 days

Hello
i am just wondering if anyone else has had experiences like this with a stomach bug. My little one has been sick last week Monday to Thursday once a day in the evening. Fine in herself all day except for an hour or two of stomach cramps and sick. She was then fine Friday and Saturday. Then sick once in the evening Monday and Tuesday. Fine Wednesday and then sick again today?
ive been to the doctors and then said stomach bugs can last 2 weeks but I just am finding it odd that it’s once a day and at roughly the same time!? Excluded dairy this week from her diet.

This is a bit random but my son had the same when he was about 7. I took him to the doctor who said the same thing. Starve him, no dairy etc. he would be ok in the day then in pain and sick some nights. Not every night. He lost weight. I had the doctor actually come out 1 night , he said the same thing. Eventually in desperation I phoned the children’s ward in the local hospital in the middle of the night. Luckily I managed to speak to an actual person. The nurse said “ this is very rare but check for worms. “ she said very very occasionally tape worms can manifest like this. I checked and there they were. I took him back to the doctor as it opened. I explained what had happened. The doctor said “ well I’m glad we’ve sorted it out because it was going on for 2 long and we’d have had to start doing tests”
once I recovered from the shock of “ we sorted it out” , he was prescribed the correct medication which we all had to take once , and that was it problem solved.

Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. I am just at a loss of why sickness is always around the same time and she is sick just the once. Next day she is so hungry and we have been doing dry food for 2 weeks now she is so bored and fed up. I will check tonight just to see if these are the cause. Thank you so much

A UTI can cause vomiting in young children, and then maybe the antibiotics have given her a bit of a dodgy stomach?

Yeah I did wonder this too, but she took the antibiotics Friday Saturday and Sunday and wasn’t sick on the Friday or Saturday. I did think maybe it has caused a stomach upset but then just seems weird to have these gaps in sickness and being sick once? Or is it normal? I feel like I don’t know anymore lol and I don’t know if I’m worrying too much or just let it ride irs course just been a long time and so far 2 weeks off school, don’t know how long I let it continue?

My little girl (then 1) had a bug like this last year. I think it was 8-9 days in the end. Doctor also told me it can be 2 weeks. Would seem fine for a day then suddenly sick again. It did then clear up and she was fine. I was also shocked at the suggestion of 2 weeks, when we hit 5 days that seemed like loads

Thank you for your message. It is reassuring someone else has had this. We are on day 11 now and 9 out of those days we’ve had sick just seems crazy and like it won’t end. I just feel like I’ve never heard of this before.
