Eye test

Hi took my 4.5 year old to get his eyes tested because the nursery sent out a message saying they needed it done before school. so got booked in while it was in my head.
anyway they have said he has +2.25 in right eye and +1.75 in left.
When doing the test the only thing he said he didn't know was a fish. He also had to take a second guess at one other thing.
hes never mentioned anything with his eyes. Will he need glasses for the rest of his life?

Did they use eye drops?
Your child is long sighted in both eyes but not to a huge degree
As he grows his eyesight may improve but noone can say he will totally grow out of needing glasses

Yeh much to his annoyance🙈

Eyes can be corrected, not sure on the right wording, until the age of 7.

My DS started wearing glasses at 4.5, about to turn 7 and still needs them.
prescription has improved over the years.

he doesn't mind them at all, looks cute

Yes, that needs correcting in order for his eyes to develop normally.
It's not that strong and it'll probably reduce in his teens anyway.
