Ds has croup - will the gp be able to help?

So I’m 99% sure my ds has croup. Ratting chest, and barking seal cough. I’ve booked him into to see the gp this afternoon. I’ve read that a lot of people take their kids straight to a&e when they have croup so I’m just wondering if the gp will be able to help. Has anyone taken their children to the gp with croup? Did they prescribe anything to help.

Yes they can prescribe steroids and will if it is croup - hope ds is better soon - croup is awful!

Yep we had steroids in hospital but ds was really struggling to breathe.
