My 4 year old daughter has, what i would say was severe excema. To the point where she rarely gets a full night's sleep and nor do I.
We have had numerous appointments with dermatology as well as emails back and forth but still heavily reliant on steriod creams.
My question is, have you or your child gone through this? Do you have any tips, miracle non steriod cream recommendations?
I need more sleep and so does she, we use scratch mitts for bed but doesn't stop the constant itching :(

Thank you, did you have any side e
effects from it? I did some research on it before but not sure if available in scotland yet but will bring up with our dermatologist at the next meeting.

We used all kinds of steroids and couldn’t get on top of it. We used Salcura, which I found on a Facebook advert! It is all natural and it cleared it straight up. Game changer, all gone in less than a month. It did reflare but only once. Still eczema free - still use the spray- almost two years later!

I really recommend this is you are looking to try something non steroid based- you have to stop using everything else. It might take a couple of months but during that time it is still better than we ever got it from the steroids.

My DS had severe eczema from a baby and only strong steroid cream helped along with emoluments. We were worried about long term use of the creams, but once we got on top of it, the cream was only used when he had a flare up. He’s 29 now, no damage was done to his skin, he still has occasional small flare ups and although GP has tried many times over the years to put him on a weaker, cheaper cream, he stands firm. He also has the same shower gel, detergents, shampoos and soaps that he knows is ok with his condition. I do remember thinking we would never get on top of it, but luckily back then, we had an excellent GP who really cared.
