craniosynostosis Info please!! Panicking

Daughter has had an X-ray to see if she has this shes 10 months i’ve read online it can be normal to close this early so unsure why the paediatrician was concerned by this anyone have any positive stories, we haven't had her X-ray results back and are really worrying, appreciate any stories or advice

Hello, my son had an X-ray for this as the consultant felt his soft spot was closed early but X-ray came back normal. My little boy was a

thank you how long roughly did it take for you to get your results its been over a week for us now :(
so great to hear he was fine, ive been worrying as we've felt it and it definitely feels closed but hopefully no intervention will be needed

Hi. We had to chase up the result as we hadn’t heard anything for days. Can you ring up and chase result? My little was closer to 2/3 months from memory and the consultant felt it was closed but x ray shown things were ok. I think with Cranio, the face / head shape can be distorted, how’s is your little girls? Is she developing ok too?

I chased up Wednesday but got a radiologist hasn’t viewed it yet, she looks normal head shape and is hitting all milestones so fingers crossed but the only time her head was measured is at this appointment and when she was first but so i think the paediatrician was concerned if it had grown to us it looks like it so fingers crossed. Glad your little one was ok x

Has her head grown in that time? Positive that she’s developing well, it can affect development with cranio so I believe that’s one of the signs. That’s like us, we were waiting on it being viewed! I’m hoping your little girl will be ok, it is likely just precautionary although if you are anything like me, you’ll be going out of your mind with worry! Keep me posted on how you get on, looking forward to hearing good news!

Yes I think it has definitely grown but its so hard to tell, yes we put of our mind just hoping we hear back soon, so stressful, will definitely update when we know more

Still waiting for the results, weve called twice but had no response :( ive called the radiology departmemt and they said her results were sent to paediatrician on the 17th. Hopefully means good news!

No news is often good news so focus on that. I hope you get answers soon as I know you’ll be out of your mind with worry! Wishing you all the luck xx
