My son got a red rash on his cheek last night. It looked exactly like slap cheek. Was warm to touch but it went after about an hour. He’s fine in himself with no temperature and no other symptoms. Tonight I rolled up the sleeve on his sleep suit at dinner and there was another big red rash, exactly the same as the one on his cheek last night. He has no other rashes anywhere else and after an hour and a half it went again.
I’ve booked a doctor’s appointment for the morning but wondered if anyone had any idea what it looks like.
we thought maybe slap cheek virus or an allergic reaction. But any help would be great appreciated

has your child been ill the last few weeks. that looks like a rash called urticarial rash its the bodies immune system fighting a virus. my daughter had it for months and was given antihistamine for a good few months.

He had what I think was Norovirus. Vomiting etc last week so maybe it’s related to that?

I would take him the doctor's and ask if they think it is urticaria. like I say its just the bodies way of fighting the virus but if it recorded they can give you stuff to soothe it.
