My 2 year old has chicken pox
we are on day three and im starting to worry that this is turning into a secondary infection . ive rang 111 and am awaiting a callback .
His inner thighs are sore , hot and he is inconsolable when it comes to nappy changes & when it comes to peeing . Ive called 111 twice in two days as the area just seem inflamed . they just advised chamomile and oat bath . However they dont seem to be working and when done he becomes distressed.
He is currently on medication Azithromycin and Fluticasone due immune system issues .
I know its a case of waiting for another callback but ive just come here to see if anyone has ever experienced similar with any of there children .

Does he have eczema/dry skin? My daughter ended up in our local childrens hospital with similar. The paediatrian mentioned the chicken pox tends to invade the eczema/dry skin areas even worse. I would get it checked out.

Poxclin and virasoothe are supposed to help on the spots. Piriton syrup may help with sleep. Remember not to give ibuprofen. You can give paracetamol.
