Verruca treatments that actually work

Anyone have any suggestions? DS has 2 huge verrucas, one of which is lifting the nail bed. We've been to the GP, who referred him to a chiropodists, who has tried acid treatments and needling but neither have worked. We've tried everything we can find over the counter but they seem to be getting bigger. Willing to try anything at this point.

Probably you've tried lighting a match, blowing it out and then putting it onto the verruca straight away? Old wives tale but it's always worked on mine.

@NikkiPotnick Actually no! Haven't heard of that. Anything's worth a go at this point...

Unfortunately you just have to wait for the immune system to kick in. Some of the interactions might make the immune system realise that it's not supposed to be there, but mostly it's just a case of waiting. Most treatments that people believe to work just happen to coincide with an immune response.

@Wonderknicks Thank you, I had wondered if this was the case. He's had them for about a year and I'm quite worried about the one that's lifting the nail bed but it seems as though everything we try just makes them larger!

I took DD to a chiropodist as she had a couple. Was advised they don’t do anything with them now and to apply tea tree daily to irritate it and speed up the process of the immune system kicking in. They did go, it just took time

We were recommended a zinc supplement for my DD, she had awful ones! Anyway they went, don’t know if it’s a coincidence though
