Children’s teeth - flourosis

So both my children have flourosis. I also have it as an adult so I’ve no idea if it’s something that can be predisposed. It’s never caused me a problem but I’m conscious that my younger child has yellow staining which indicates a more severe case. I’ve read up on it and it’s certainly peculiar as I was always very good at using age appropriate toothpaste, often for longer as they liked the taste and my dentist was keen to suggest I went for a stronger fluoride toothpaste. So I am rather puzzled by it all.

Anyway. I’m reading that teeth whitening might help when they are adults. My own experience with teeth whitening was the white spots just got more white, so I’m not sure about that. The brown staining is more of a concern to me and wonder if anyone had experienced the same and have dealt with it as an adult?
