13 MO sickness bug

Hi all, just after a bit of advice please!
My 13 mo has contracted an awful sickness bug we are on day 5 now we got back from hospital last night as she took a turn for the worst and just wasn’t staying awake, keeping anything down etc so I worried about dehydration but she picked up with her fluid intake whilst there so they sent us on our way and said as long as she keeps on with fluid food doesn’t matter but my question is but how long for! Day 5 now and she hasn’t eaten anything I have offered her everything I can possibly think of and am continuing on with fluids but she is so lethargic/not herself of course because she has nothing in her system. Her weight also dropped over the few days due to the not eating but they didn’t seem very concerned because she was managing fluids. How long is the norm for them not to be eating or should I say how long is actually safe for them not to eat for!

Is she keeping food/fluids down now? Would she take something sugary like apple juice from a Calpol syringe?

Your have my sympathy, we've just had a D&V big in the house, and my LO had rotavirus in April.

She is keeping fluids down now yes but is refusing to eat. This will be day 6 now where she’s not had next to nothing to eat just at my wits end I know the hospital are saying fluids are the most important but surely a 13 month old still needs food!
