Discharge paperwork not accurate

Does it matter? I wouldn't want to get anyone into trouble, especially the nurses who were amazing with him but i am concerned his post op complications aren't there and the date of discharge is wrong too. I am worried about getting in trouble with school for keeping him off for too long after what the discharge papers say was routine day surgery. I also want to make sure the post op complications are recorded in his notes so we can avoid them next time.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I would write a (polite) email to the hospital with the correct details and ask them to add your email to DCs records and also to amend the discharge summary. I think your reasons for doing so make total sense and the nurses won't take it badly. Usually a doctor completes it anyway and they can be overwritten .
Hope DC on the mend now!

Thank you, I'll do that. Ds is on the mend now, although still very swollen.
