My daughter had her preschool vaccinations last week. Diphtheria, tetanus and polio in one arm. Mmr in the other. She was sick once the day after. 2 days after she had a red hot rash around where she’d had the DTaP which has mostly gone and is now dry skin. Today 6 days on she has come out in a rash all over her body, some look like measles spots and others look like hives/blotchy large marks. Her hands look puffy near her knuckles now. Dad has taken her to a&e and they think it’s jab related. Anyone else had this? She’s fine in herself no temp or anything. The swelling is what’s freaking me out. She’s never had a reaction to a vaccine before. She’s had some antihistamine but hasn’t really done anything. She was at nursery when it appeared.

The MMR kicks in 6-10 days after vaccination and sometimes does cause a rash, although not infectious. The puffiness on the hands is not something I’ve heard of though

The rash is a well reported side effects. Been known about for years.

111 directed us to pharmacy, the pharmacist thought the hand swelling was likely an allergic reaction to something in the jab rather than the rash. They’ve gone down now.

a rash is very common….the side effects mimic the diseases….,side effects for mmr are 6 to 10 days after the vaccine is administered
