Chicken pox or bites?

Do these spots look like the start of chicken pox or bites instead?
They're itchy and DS has about 12 of them, just showing now after school.
He had CP very mildly when a baby, but mindful he could get again.
The redness on face is keratosis pilaris and unrelated. Thanks in advance!

I was told by a GP that chickenpox spots usually start in the middle of the body and radiate out. Are there more on his torso?

Any on his torso? Face is just an unusual place for them to start, I think. My dds’ both had what looked more like blisters with CP - a clear fluid filled top to each spot. Those look very sore. Worth taking a photo in to the pharmacy to see what they think?

Just face, hands, forearms and legs at the moment

Could be hand foot and mouth, even in an older child. That definitely IS going round.
