Hello, worried mum here š
My son (4 years old) had to go to an and e a few days ago due to having croup. He was found to have a lower heart rate of 67bpm so they decided to do an ECG and his heart rate had gone up to 97bpm at this point, however the ECG showed a prolonged QTC. He has now been referred to paediatric cardiology for an outpatient app. I have been googling and Iām riddled with anxiety. He has already had an ECG and echocardiogram in the past as the GP thought that he heard a murmur but everything was normal and he was discharged from cardiology. He is extremely active, always running, football, swimming etc.
Has anyone had any similar experiences? I have read that the wires can be put on in the wrong place giving false readings, I really hope this is the case š©
