Hey guys my little boy is turning 1 on the first on November he can’t crawl but does army shuffle his way about, can say baba and just learned to pull to stand, I’m concerned about him though as he shows no interest whatsoever is trying to learn to clap, wave or point, he also flaps his arms and legs a lot when excited or mad, I have seen the health visitor and they said they will see us in around 3 months to see if anything’s changed should I be worried

do you play clapping/waving games with him, to encourage him?

Mine started pointing after a really busy afternoon with Granny, where Granny pointed at EVERYTHING. DP and I were doing an activity and Granny just kept pointing and saying "There's Mummy! There's Daddy!". This was about 10 months. It turned on pointing for my LO all of a sudden. They weren't pointing that morning but suddenly seemed to understand what it meant by the end of the afternoon.

Try not to worry. Development differs from baby to baby. My son shuffled at the same age and flapped his hands when excited. He’s 12 now and fine.
