Random bruise under baby’s eye

I’m looking for advice as my partner thinks I’m worrying over nothing.

eveey morning my month old wakes up with a black eye on the same eye.

sometimes this same eye looks puffy and bruised at other points in the day but I notice it most in the morning.

should I see the doctor. I’m scared it could be something awful - I’m quite a worrier. Pics attached.

any advice appreciated. X

I can’t see a bruise.

I can’t see anything either.

I don’t know… but I see the bruise/ dark area. A quick google says usually nothing to worry about. But if you’re really worried could you send a photo to your GP? Do you have dark circles? I think kids are more likely to get them if their parents do… or does he sleep on his front? You don’t say how old he is. Allergies maybe?

There's very clearly something there. Speak to your health visitor and your GP. I don't think it is anything sinister but a heard of a toddler who died as the GP and hospital doctors would no listen to the mum. Always advocate for your kids but get support if you're anxious unnecessarily as well.

My eyes look like that sometimes in the morning and mine are allergy related.

Thanks for the responses so far.
reassured that it might be minor as some people can’t see it but I will probably go to the doctor because of my said anxiety and the fact that I’ve noticed this over months.
it may just be an allergy.
but it’s always the same eye.

My child had a deep capillary haemangioma which looked like a puffy bruise and was eventually diagnosed by the local eye hospital. Do get it checked out if you’re worried. In our case the hospital monitored it over several years and it disappeared over time.

My sons eyes used to look like this and it was allergy related.
