rash above babies lip

im a ftm, my baby is 8 months & 1 week old. he didn’t have this yesterday, it just appeared today. its a rash above his top lip, he has two bottom teeth and a tooth coming in at the top so im not sure if its a teething rash or not. im just worried incase its a cold sore! does anyone have any idea what it could be? thanks

It could be milia, so harmless. (can appear on mouth, inside or out, on nose or chest, eyelids etc)

In young babies, they usually go away within a few weeks and do not need treatment.

This is also called milk spots,they are small, pearly white cysts that form under the skin. They develop when keratin—a protein that makes up hair, skin, and nails—gets trapped beneath the surface. About 40% of newborns have milia, but they can occur at any age.

It's difficult to see detail from your photos but it doesn't look like any disease to me - rashes of this kind tend to be red and very much more prominent so I'd say it was milia.
