Reoccurring rash

Hi all I’m new to this so bare with.

My daughter is 3 year old and for some reason keeps getting a reoccurring rash on her back/side of back. This rash is not itchy nor does it spread around the rest of her body. She has this rash every now and again which seems to disappear over the week. She has been to the docs many times about this and they don’t seem worried as this isn’t chicken pox and told to apply dermo cream.
Monday this rash has returned and somewhat does look to me like chicken pox but from Monday it has not spread or been itchy, no other symptoms. Has anyone got an idea to what this might be.
This is becoming worrying as me and my partner have just welcomed our second child into the world on Thursday.
Any advice or thoughts on what this might be will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it always in exactly the same place?

Sometimes on her side under her arm area and downwards.

My 3 year old has had similar, around 5 times up to now and we still haven’t got to the bottom of it. We were also worried as he had them a few days before I gave birth recently but nothing spread to baby. Have you tried giving an antihistamine? That seemed to help my little boy. Have you got any pets in the house/ had contact with any around the time of the rash? I’ll try to attach the photos of how ours looked.

It's strange that it's always in the same place. An allergic reaction would likely be more wide spread, unless it was a contact reaction, but I can't think why something would only be in contact with that specific area.
The rash looks like how I react to insect bites, but again, they wouldn't always be in the same place.
The rash does look a bit chicken poxy but again, unlikely to be localised, would be itchy, and multiple infections are also unlikely.

Have you tried giving antihistamines - piriton etc? Does it have any effect?

I think I would be asking for a dermatology referral if it keeps happening.

Thanks for that. I will try her with some antihistamines today and see how that goes.
no pets in the house but sometimes her grandmother washes her clothes if she is around at hers and they need washed so maybe could be different type of detergent but surely this would end up contacting multiple areas ?.
I originally thought it was insect bites from the likes of nursery or when we have had days out but unusual for it to be reoccurring.
Thank you all for your help, this has put my mind at rest and will ask doc for referral to dermatology.

Have a look at toddler folliculitis on Google images. If it's that, medicated soap might help to get rid of the bacteria that often cause it. Your GP will know better than me though. www.nationwidechildrens.org/conditions/folliculitis
