Bleeding tonsils

Just noticed that my toddler, who has permanently enlarged tonsils, appears to be bleeding slightly from his tonsils. Photo attached (marked as sensitive due to the blood). Does anyone have experience of this? DS (just 3) says it does not hurt. I am still minded to contact the GP about it. Thanks for any advice.

I think the GP would be my first port of call. It could just be a virus but it could be a vitamin deficiency etc.

Beyond Mumsnet's pay grade, certainly!
