Slapped cheek or allergy?

My 2yo had a cold like symptoms - runny nose and congestion for 2 days then this rash appeared last night (see pics). Her cheeks went so red they were almost purple, and a massive covering of what looked like hives at top of her legs.

It was very itchy but went away after some antihistamine. She has been fine in herself otherwise.

At first I thought slapped cheek, but unsure now as the rash has gone away, maybe a reaction to something?

Does anyone have any knowledge of what this could be . I plan to call doctor when they open again tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has any
ideas.

I'm not a medic. I've not seen an allergy rash like that. I'd consider scarlet fever. Definitely GP in the morning. Have you taken her temperature recently? If she starts seeming very unwell just get seen straight away.

Thanks for your reply. I had originally considered something along those lines but the rash dissapeared after the antihistamine and no temperature (36.4), she's eating and drinking normally, happy enough during the day, just bunged up.

Have asked for a callback from the GP this morning.
