Threadworm reinfection

Probably a silly question but I wonder if anyone's experienced similar timeline - My 17 month old has threadworm for the 2nd time in about 6-7 weeks. I stupidly forgot the 2nd dose two weeks later when she first had it. She had one dose only. Is this likely to be due to the reinfection that we discovered last night? Or would this have occured earlier if it was that? The other possible is that we did get rid of them but she's picked up it again from nursery (where I assume she got it from originally), in which case I think I'll tell them in case they want to inform all the parents as they are so likely hanging around there. I guess there's no sure way to know, but I did think she would have had them again sooner after she took the medicine the 1st time if it simply was because we didn't give the 2nd?

You didn't clear them all last time. You need two doses to get them at the correct stage of the life cycle.

Thanks, that's more what I was hoping was the case, rather than her repeatedly picking them up from somewhere externally which I have less control over. Though time will tell if that will be the case anyway!

You need to treat eveeyone at home and tell nursery.
