Is this HFM or something else?

Booked to see GP this afternoon so thought I would post on here just to see what the consensus was while I wait. There's a confirmed case of HFM at his nursery, he has spots pretty much all over and a tiny ulcer in his mouth which luckily hasn't affected his appetite. He's had it before much the same but not with the mouth rash and I'm just worried that it's something else as well as HFM, what do you think?

That's what I'm worried about, the chemist gave me a cream for impetigo as she couldn't be sure yesterday. There is a case of impetigo in a different room at nursery and wouldn't have come into contact with that child I expect. I would have thought impetigo but the other spots are indicative of hfm, unless it's both 😭

Dr confirmed hfm, said she couldn't say 100% not also impetigo but as rash hadn't spread and and wasn't as yellow and scabby as impetigo she thinks just an angry hfm sore

Aw poor baby 😢 Hope he feels better soon it looks incredibly sore! My DS had HFM and influenza A at the same time it was horrendous. Hope he recovers fast 🤞 x

Thank you so much, it's looking a little better today, dark looking scabs so think we're on the way to healing although they keep cracking and bleeding 😭 these kids really put us through the ringer don't they!
