Child’s insect repellant

Can anyone recommend an insect repellent I can use on my 2 year old? She has quite sensitive skin (eczema) so want to use something gentle, and don’t want her to get bitten abroad! Doing a week in Spain, so not tropical but mosquitoes can be annoying in the evenings!

We got some patches- little stick on ones for their clothes that smell like citronella. I found them really effective, my baby and partner were wearing them one night and I got about 20 bites but they were both fine

I put a dab of citronella oil on a bit of my clothing, usually my sock. Don’t put it on my skin.

The Superdrug DEET one is suitable for age 2 and over.

I always use the jungle formula kids. And in the evenings dress them in long sleeves and trousers. Also, if you’re going out for dinners and hoping she’ll sleep in the pram then pack a snooze shade because that also functions like a mosquito net

I have used these too and they were surprisingly effective!

We use Incognito, you can get it at Holland and Barrett, actually smells quite nice!

Patches and incognito it's not the cheapest but definitely works

I’m in Australia but I think this is available in the uk - Moogoo tail swat, it’s the only thing that stops me getting bitten here! It’s not strong smelling and can be used on babies. There’s a spray (not aerosol) or roll on version.

We've just come back from Spain 2 days ago, not 1 bite between any of us. It's cool in the evenings now so you'll likely be fine without needing any repellent

Avon skin so soft is great. Honest
