Any experience with cyclic vomiting syndrome?

Does anyone have experience with cyclic vomiting syndrome, and can illness trigger a flare up? My 9yo always vomits with every illness, not just a tummy bug. Like now for example, she started with a cold and earache, and has now been vomiting every hour for the last 12 hours. This always happens, surely she doesn’t catch a tummy bug on top of a cold every single time? I was reading about cyclic vomiting syndrome and it got me thinking.

Does she have history of reflux ?

Yes actually, bad reflux as a baby and still now will have bouts of indigestion.

According to my crazy 24hrs plus research when kids get sick respiratory or stomach bug and have a history of reflux. The reflux flare up and can present as Puke, acid or regurgitation! So I think your child have strong acid reflux flare up during illness hence the vomiting

Oh that’s interesting! It always seems like a stomach bug, she’s now been sick hourly for 15 hours, bringing water up. But that often happens when she has a cold. So odd!

I agree. CVS is a sort of migrainey condition and yours sound refluxey.
