Kids worms…can I hide the soft toys in the attic for 4-5 weeks rather than wash them?

I can’t believe we have worms. I don’t know why I’m shocked as it’s obviously very common.
I'm on my 8th wash load so far this morning with loads more bedding in the queue. I’m deep cleaning the kids bedrooms and bathrooms, making a roast dinner and losing the will to live.

So can I bag up the soft toys and but them in the attic and wait for the cycle length of eggs to pass and then get them out? Or do I have to wash the bastard toys?

I'd say bag them and if they forget about them you can get rid....win win!

Or if you have a dryer you could put a few special ones in there for a roast... heat kills them.
Honestly, its not as bad as it feels day one. Just take the medicine, take it again after the time prescribed (i think its 10 days?? But i made them take it day 7, day 10, day 14). Be really careful with hand washing, make them change their pjs and underwear in the bathroom first thing every morning and wash their bum/have a full shower.

The first time we got worms I washed everything. The second time I gave them the medicine it was fine and it killed the worms. I only washed the bedding. I did put clean pyjamas on them every night and sudocrem on their bottoms as the worms can’t move through it apparently.

Don’t over dose on the wormer. I can’t remember how often you need to take it. But it’s a set number of days apart and just take it as it says on the bottle.

We all survived the trauma of worms and are now clear. Just updating incase anyone reads this in the future.
I did stash the toys and dressing up too and seemed fine whilst taking the two doses of tablets.

School put out an anonymous warning saying there was a case in school which sent the parents whatsap group into a spin but everyone got over it and I never owned up!
