We have experience with ringworm and I’d say get her down to the GP tomorrow (unless it is getting worse rapidly in which case consider out of hours GP). At this point you probably need a prescription for something oral. Good luck x

Agree with PP go to GP that’s extensive.
A boy in my class had it ( years ago) and everyone got it including staff team. Small class, special school.
He had it for weeks but turned out he was getting reinfected by next door’s cat. If there’s contact with an animal it will need treating.
Just a warning if it goes on her scalp there could be hair loss ( circular patches) but it will grow back.

Thank you for your replies - I will book her an emergency GP appointment today.

Could be Nummular eczema ( discoid) often confused. Obviously that’s not contagious but needs v different treatment. Good luck.
Ring worm v contagious but that isn’t obviously.

GP thinks it is Molluscum contagiosum - swabs have been taken. She has antibodies and a steroid cream. 😁

Edited

It did take about 18 months from first appearance for DD age 6ish but once her immune system “noticed” it, as indicated by the inflammation (which your DC already has?), it was on its way out quite quickly. Most of the 18 months was flesh-coloured spots which is the preceding stage.

I caught it as well but my immune system dealt with it quickly.

I hope the swabs are informative and your DD is feeling ok about it - thankfully not at the self conscious stage by a long way!
