What is this rash?

DS6 is seeing a derm in a few weeks but since the referral (for widespread hives) this rash has appeared. It’s on his face, eyelids, neck, stomach, bottom of his back, scrotum and behind his knees.

At first it presented as itchy bumps, so I had thought it was an insect bite, but it has continued to spread.

It’s itchy and uncomfortable, poor lad. Anyone seen anything similar?

Could this be chickenpox?

@Lonxy he had that a few years ago and there are no associated symptoms but it did cross my mind.

Looks like impetigo but surely GP would recognise that.

Impetigo yes, would it be likely that we all would have got it by now? It’s been a week.

It’s impetigo my little girl had it. The rest of us did not get it. Have to be really careful with hygiene ensure all towels are washed on every use etc
