Tooth fallen out next to extraction

Any dentist about I’d appreciate your thoughts.

My almost 10 year old had a second molar removed a week ago from hypomineralisation decay. Last night the first molar next to it became very loose and is nearly out.

Waiting to ring dentist first thing Monday but I’ll be spending the weekend stressing all his teeth are going to drop out.

Is it just coincidence that it’s fallen out? Is it going to cause problems having a double gap? Thanks

Is it a baby or adult tooth?

Both the one extracted and the one that’s fallen out are baby teeth

Dentist here. If the molar next to the extracted tooth doesn’t have any roots, so it’s just the crown ( which I suspect will be the case), then it’s a natural exfoliation and nothing to worry about.

Thanks so much. It’s fully fallen out now just the crown like you thought and I can see what looks like the adult tooth underneath.

It’s fine then and perfectly normal. No need to bother your dentist on Monday x

Perfect, just a bit disconcerting when it looks like all his teeth are dropping out Grin

With respect, that’s meant to happen! The main thing is that there’s a brand new one underneath!!
