Hi all,

Going into autumn/winter I want start giving my daughter some supplements what with all the nursery germs! I know there's recommendations for some anyway for her age but there's so many brands/combinations and prices it's hard to know which is best and what she actually needs. does anyone have any vitamins or specific brands they've found good especially for immune support? No doubt we won't avoid bugs altogether but if there's something that give her a bit of a boost that would be great

Tbh we use the multivitamin liquids, which we put in her cereal. We don’t favour any brand over another, just what we can get at the time (from supermarket or Amazon) and price is a factor.

We have also just started giving iron drops seperately as they often aren’t included in the multivitamin drops and we are worried she isn’t getting enough from food.

At that age I used the wellbaby liquid in his milk

I would also recommend vitamins all year round, not just winter.

All the over the counter products are pretty similar and replete, other than the presence/absence of iron.

The evidence that there is any vitamin supplement that reduces infection rates is pretty minimal though.

It's vitamins A, C and D that's recommended up to age 5 years all year round.
