My child’s been complaining of pain in his toe today and this is what I found on it, he complained about it a few weeks ago but it was very tiny like a small dot so I said probably a spot it will go away now its gone bigger. I have no idea how to help him. Please anyone?

Looks like a verucca. Painful, but should be straightforward to get rid of. I've used Bazuca on my DS successfully, but check your DS is old enough to use it.

Second the verruca

Verruca

Weve had hundreds and never a black dot.

definitely a verruca!

FuckNugget69 · 28/08/2025 01:01

100% verucca. The dots will appear within a few days if left untreated.

Luckily easy enough to get rid off with some off the shelf stuff. Just be consistent with with the treatment and at this early stage it should bugger off within a few weeks.

Good luck!

Just to ask is it normal for it to turn this colour, it looks bigger since we started treatment with bazuka. Not sure if its normal? Also no black dots have appeared

It’s also not raised so not sure how I can file it down after 7 days of treatment with bazuka

100 percent a verruca. I never bother with the filing down. Just always kind of falls off by itself.

Nothankyov · 02/09/2025 00:30

Yes - normal that it turns like this. Same happened with my son. Keep going

usernamebetty · 02/09/2025 00:32

Yes, it’s supposed to look like this once you start to treat it. It’s the skin dying off around it, so it all turns white. You can pick at it / dig it out, once it dies enough if you can’t file it

Thank you for the reassurance.
