I’m currently at A&E with my 2 month old waiting to be seen, but would appreciate any insight in the meantime.
DD is 2 months old and for the past few days has started a new cry a couple of times a day where it sounds like she is in a lot of pain, it usually happens when we pick her up almost as if we are pressing on a painful area. We have found that if we put her down flat, she usually stops crying and goes back to her normal self.
However today she cried for more than an hour non stop again, it’s a cry of pain not hunger or tiredness- she is my third child and I’m not saying I’m an expert but this cry really made me worry so we are at A&E now.
She has been constipated since birth and has been prescribed glycerin suppositories and lactulose. We have been using these on and off since then- but she has never cried like this before. All this time the constipation seemed to have caused her discomfort rather than pain. She is formula fed and we did swap her milk from Kendamil to Cow and Gate.
These crying episodes have so far happened in the daytime only… so really not sure what’s going on and Sod’s Law… the drive to A&E made her sleep so I’m worried the doctors will just fob me off.
