Medication for travel sickness

My 12 year old has always had a tendency to vomit after a general anaesthetic and used to get quite bad reflux up until he was about 9 but now he has vomited on the last 3 car journeys we have had. Nothing in between car journeys so assuming not a bug/food poisoning. Can anyone recommend some good medication or other ideas. He doesn't read in the car and we switched the dc seats around so he was sat by the window and closer to the front but that didn't make any difference.

I get awful awful travel sickness and like your DS get sick after anesthetic. I can't read or look at a phone when travelling.

I got Prochlorperazine on pescription from the drs and it is a life saver as it really does affect me day to day quite a lot!
