Growing 'lump' 'swelling' on DS tibia

My partner noticed a hard lump/swelling covering the majority of my sones shin bone back in April. It is painless but give it a few weeks to see if it went down and it didn't so i took him to the gp who said she is certain its a lipoma but needed to be double checked via ultrasound we waited 5 weeks for the appointment at the appointment the sonographer told me she couldnt see anything at all on the scan but can feel and see it so to go back to my GP.
my GP then referred us to a different hospital under a orthopaedic consultant for more tests finally the appointment is this week and I'm so scared has anyone had anything like this before and what was the outcome?

No idea but following as my son is the same! He has a big boney lump on his shin - I believe it appeared after he injured his leg quite badly back in April, when he crashed his scooter into a fence post. I have had him reviewed by a doctor who said it’s “just the way his leg is”, but he’s since whacked it again and another bump has come up. Would be interested to hear how you get in and whether to push for my DS. Hope you get answers.

Apologies for the late reply life has been hectic.
i took my son to his appointment which turned into a 2 hour appointment he was sent straight for a x-ray which shown a mass on his shin bone he was referred for an urgent MRI scan which we got the next day.
we waited 4 days for the results which we received on holiday the report said " no apparent sinister findings " which was a huge relief. However his care has been passed onto Another hospital that specialises in bones ect. over an hour away from home. He has to have a CT scan on it next week and a biopsy we are hoping and praying everything turns out ok in the end after months of the GP fobbing us off 🫩

Oh my god! That’s awful, your poor son and poor you! I really hope all is OK and everything is “normal”. Sending you hugs and a handhold xx
