orthodontics?

Just signed up to £5500 for dd2’s braces. Her teeth are a mess with heavy overcrowding so I feel it’s worth it. These are clear / ceramic train tracks and estimate treatment time of 24-30months.

I know all these things are so individualised and yes, I’ll ask the practice, but as a ballpark how often do kids go for tightenings? Just as she starting secondary, I’m conscious to not have too many appointments.

Thanks.

For my DD it was around 6 weeks apart. Can sometimes be 4 weeks apart.

DD averaged around 6 weeks - but it varied between 4-8 weeks. We went privately though and clinic policy was to prioritise after school appointments for private patients which was very useful.

Thank you. Yes this is a private orthodontist. I’ve just asked them and they said her type of brace only needs adjustments every 8-12 weeks which is good. I’ll try and pre book Saturday slots! Thank you.
