Does anyone have any experience with chicken pox in newborns? My little boy came out in chicken pox 2 weeks ago I mentioned it to health visitor and they said it was unlikely that my newborn would catch it this young. She has now come out in 2 blister type spots and im super worried what might happen. I have attempted to contact health visitor again bitnnot heard back yet. She was only BF for 2 weeks as she was premature and my supply was just not coming in enough in I sadly gave up. Other than being super fussy when not held which is generally normal for her she seems well not sure if i need to contact GP as a precaution? Am I over thinking this?

I have no experience of this but wouldn’t hesitate to ask my GP if my 6 week old prem baby had chicken pox. Go with your gut and ask for advice or reassurance. Hope she’s on the mend soon.

DS2 had CP at one week old. His older brother was full of it. I was bf but he still had a mild dose, wasn’t unwell. Now 20 and he’s never had it again.
