Spots on scalp

My 4 year old has these small spots on his scalp. They look like they have wrapped some clear orange liquid that is gone hard. He has 6 now but when they disappear he will develop new ones. They are not itchy or irritating. Any idea what causes it? Any need for concern or treatment?

Thanks

Sweat. I get them when I get a sweaty head. I have very thick hair. They will clear up next time he washes his hair. Maybe try some medicated shampoo.
Tell him to try not to scratch them too much or they might get infected.
Just noticed he's gingery too. Maybe it's a thing😄

Could be scalp psoriasis. There are lots of shampoos available that treat it.

Possibly folliculitis, which I am prone to. My son gets them periodically. GP wasn't particularly helpful. I have found he gets them less since h started showering rather than baths, and I think it's because the shower rinse his scalp better.
