9mth old hot to the touch but has normal temperature. Been on/off for last couple of days calpol seems to bring it down and she's drinking and eating as normal. Seems to happen through the night now first time was all day. Also can feel getting a tooth through wondering if that could be why. Did get a rash that has disappeared. She's normal in herself laughing, sleeping ect just the getting like feels on fire it's her head, chest and back calpol does bring it down. Any advice would be appreciated.

If she seems fine in herself and calpol brings it down I wouldn’t worry. Have you used a thermometer again, what temp is she?

Yeah she ultimately sounds fine. Could well be teething related. Temps are often higher at night as during the day cortisol suppresses our immune systems and keeps temps lower, but this drops at night to allow us to sleep which means temps can go up. If she's upset or hot try nurofen as it's better for bringing a temperature down (unless you suspect chicken pox, in which case no ibuprofen, just paracetamol).

Thank you for your replies her temperature been normal. The calpol did its job took heat down. As from this morning she hasn't on fire again. Eating and drinking as normal so feel like you guys are spot on with teething plus never thought about night time temp chamge ect thanks again 😊
