Is there a weird virus going around atm?

all 3 of my children have caught something but it’s such a strange virus as all they have is a high temp. My son started first 8 days ago and has had a consistent high temperatures. As soon as paracetamol wears off its back!! Took them to the doctors and my son did have an inflamed ear but it has settled now.
has anyone else’s children had similar? It’s made them all so lethargic which is so unlike them, my daughter never rests and she spent the whole day in bed!!

Covid is going round. Different people seem to have different symptoms. We had fever and cold like symptoms. Work colleague had fever and sore throat. You can get tests on Amazon if you wanted to check.

Lots of viruses only cause fever, especially if you've had them before (as the fever is your immune system ramping up and it ramps up faster if you already recognise the virus). Probably worth looking out for rashes though.
