Chlorocresol & eczema & swimming pools

Hi. Looking for advice. My 5 year old has had patch testing and is allergic to chlorocresol. We have come away on holiday and the day after he’s been in the swimming pool he’s come up all puffy faced and red. Huge eczema body flare. His left eye is terrible and this is despite wearing googles. Has anybody else been told they are allergic to chlorocresol and find they can’t go in swimming pools? We haven’t had a problem with his regular swimming lesson in the UK. Don’t think it’s heat stroke as he’s not unwell and has no sunburn. Anybody else experienced this?

It’s soul destroying trying to keep a 5 year old who loves swimming out of the pool when the rest of his cousins are in 😞
