Hi does this look like chickenpox? My son is 5 months old but has had no symptoms and spots are only on his forehead and scalp at the moment they turned up this morning

Right now they could be lots of things - hand foot and mouth can start the same way. By tomorrow, it'll become clearer whether it's chickenpox.

I've seen lots of funny rashes on my little one over the last couple of months, I keep thinking it's going to be chickenpox but then nothing ever develops beyond the isolated spots. I assume my toddler just has sensitive skin tbh.

When my baby had HFM at the same age as yours, there were spots on their fingers and feet and they blistered, but nothing on their tummy or back. I then came down with it two days later and felt like utter and also had blisters on my fingers and feet.

weirdly no more spots this morning and the ones on his head have got bright red 🤷🏻‍♀️ his sister had hand foot and mouth around 3 weeks ago but I guess too much time has passed for it to be passed to him
