5mo baby. 6months tomorrow. Exclusively breastfed. Not yet started weaning but about to. On holiday and in the airport to travel back and my baby did this poo? Big lumps and green. 2 days ago he didn’t go for 24 hours but has been 4 times since and none looked like this. Worried!! What could this be?

Could be a mild tummy bug. If it's greenish, it could even be rotavirus despite vaccination. Is baby generally well, drinking, normal temp, alert?

But I also found that what I ate absolutely had an effect via breastmilk on my baby's bowels before solids. I couldn't have orange juice for weeks because it always seemed to upset baby's stomach. So it could be a temporary reaction to na change in your diet. Hopefully it will go back to normal soon!

Thanks so much. I hadn’t thought of this. Quite possibly could be either. I felt odd 2 nights ago but nothing came of it and now my husband has a cold. Also my diet has been atrocious on holiday so the lack of veg could have caused!

looks a bit more normal today but feeling apprehensive as to whether to start solids today or wait another 🤔

I found that solids caused constipation for my baby, there were several days where I had to stop and breastfeed more to help that. A few days here or there won't make much difference, so pause if you feel that's best - but equally, no actual food might enter your babies mouth this first week, so perhaps no point delaying.

I went ahead with a broccoli breastmilk purée today and I’m quite confident none of it entered babies mouth anyway 😂. Have contacted GP and been offered appt end of next week so they must not be too concerned.
