Lump on neck

Just after any experiences really. My DD (13) has noticed a lump on her neck. Right at the front, slightly to the left of centre (as I look at her, so her right). She says she only noticed it yesterday and it hurts when touched but she has let me have a little poke and it’s hard and slightly larger than a pea. It’s obviously more visible if she looks upwards but even without I can see it.
Medical history wise she has gone through stages of being incredibly tired so has had various blood tests done. The first one her thyroid result was abnormal. Second, her thyroid was fine but she has a raised level of a certain type of white cells and third, everything came back fine. Any thoughts or experiences? I will be taking her to see the pharmacist tomorrow (quicker and easier than GP, but will book a GP appointment as soon as I can get one). I’ve also got to book her a phlebotomist appointment as she had some random bruising last week, including some large ones on her legs and one on her face.

Book a GP appt. I am not a medic but my best friend at school had a lump on her thyroid when she was 18 - she’s 49 now and absolutely fine. She didn’t have radiotherapy or chemo, just the lump and maybe thyroid (?) removing and has to have thyroid meds. Sorry, don’t want to freak you out Flowers

Thank you for replying!
Rang first thing, earliest phone appt was Wednesday. Asked for something sooner, got a call back and have been seen. Dr has ordered a whole plethora of blood tests which are being done tomorrow and has referred for an ultrasound.

Ok great that she’s being seen to, everything crossed.

Blood tests are back and she has low folate. Stupidly googled lump on neck and low folate and there was nothing good. We go on holiday tomorrow and I know I’m going to worry all week until she has her scan on 18th.

Quick update, the lump is a cyst. It will have been there since birth and they are very common but not usually noticed until older age.
During the scan it was noted that her thyroid looks a bit off. GP called within the hour with the results and will be referring to ENT for the cyst and Endocrinology for the Thyroid.
