Does this sound like colic?

Our 2 week old little boy has started straining and crying constantly when he is awake- we change, feed, cuddle etc. At first we thought he was constipated as he goes red in the face and cries sound painful, he doesn’t poo everyday but we were told this is ok my the midwife. When he does, it’s the normal mustard pops. He’s very hard to settle and when asleep sometimes wakes himself up with sharp cry. We take ages winding him and have anti colic bottles, feeding upright. He is formula fed and we use HiPP organic comfort milk. He gets hiccups after most feeds despite staying upright after feeds. He’s not a sicky baby. Does anyone have any tips to help with this? I do they outgrow colic or is it something I should speak to my doctor about?

He could have silent reflux
with a baby this little you should always have a chat to the GP

Colic is just unexplained crying.

It sounds like infant dyschezia. It’s a normal developmental phase for most babies.

I think it can simply take them a little while to get used to milk feeds. Their guts haven’t had milk for 9 months and the process of digestion can cause all sorts of sensations that they aren’t used to. There isn’t automatically something wrong.
