"Just a cyst"

Obviously i am glad ds doesn't have cancer. But we've known for a while that it almost certainly wasn't that. And it's really irritating when people say it's "just a cyst". Because he still has to have it removed, and biopsied. And there is a not small chance it will come back and have to be removed again. Each time it has to be removed the surgery is more complicated. And when we signed the consent form the list of complications are actually quite scary.

So i posted this here, looking for validation and a bit of sympathy, because the people who are supposed to be supportive think i am making a big fuss about nothing.

He is 12 and the cyst is in his gum, it was picked up when he had a dental x ray for something else in March.
