Fecal dismpaction

Evening all, new here and looking for some information and also similar cases.

Background- constipation as a baby. Treated . Potty trained and dry in the day from 2.1/2 years. Never has been dry in the night. Odd dry nappy.

Impaction (mild fecal loading, was on the hospital letter) was picked up on a scan Jan 25 for investigation of day time wetting starting at 5 1/2 yes old.

My 7 year old boy has been on the disimpaction process for 20days. We are at 12 sachets a day and now going up to 5ml of sodium picosulfate after starting at 2.5ml .

We thought we were there after day 8, did the sweetcorn test and it was still coming out 10days later and his poo went back to 5 and 6 on the stool chart. Spoke to ERIC and was told the main blockage had probably cleared but now the pockets in the bowel were emptying more impacted stools and to keep going.

The last 2 days he's had very watery poos with some sloppy bits in but they aren't 'brown' they are yellow/orange. everyone or the information i can find states 'brown water with bits' and says any shade of brown.

Im wondering if this impaction could have been there for years and if so has anyone else been through this and how long did it take for your little ones to disimpact. Hes missed 2 weeks of school, and has football ect as he's pooing all the time. We are at 112 poos since 5th july. Only 3 of those were very small.

Hes now developed a hemorrhoid too.

We havent missed a dose. Hes drinking near to 2litres water a day. Diet is good. Fruit and veg every day. Hes extremely active.

Any advice /information would be greatly appreciated ❤️

Keep increasing the sodium Pico sulphate by 1ml every 2-3 days. My ds is 10 and he's on 15ml per day and 3 movicol as his maintenance dose after disimpaction. Obviously check with GP, consultant, pharmacist whoever what the maximum dose is for his age.
