My 5 year old tripped outside of a wee ledge and banged his head on the ground at lunchtime. Small red mark and graze no bump. Hes absolutely fine actually normal eating normal etc its any different. He didn't loose conciseness and hasnt been sick or anything either. He hasn't mentioned it at all but if I ask how is head is he says sore. Im such a worrier and it's been playing on my mind all afternoon.

Im panicking should I have went to A&E but he is honestly no different than he normally is

I understand your worry but so far he seems fine, there’s no bump, he’s not tired or feeling unwell and only mentions it’s sore when you ask him rather than him complaining it’s sore.

I don’t think you need to take him to A&E, just keep and eye on him and if anything changes then call 111 but right now I think he’s going to be okay!

My son fell over once when he was about 8 and really whacked his head! I heard it from the other side of the playground. He was fine but I was just like you worrying so much. I didn’t get a wink of sleep that night!! Keep your eye on him and I’m sure he’ll be fine. Xx
