Bruises

Just curious (rather than panicking!) my youngest bruises really easily and always has done but they always heal really well. He’s otherwise ‘normal’ in every way- very energetic, eats fine and plays loads of sport. Is it something others would check?

How old is he? Is he pretty active? Mine all have bruised arms and legs from sports and on holidays climbing in and out of pools ect

My kids used to always get bruises on their legs, especially their shins, and I remember a Doctor telling me when I was concerned why there was so many on my Daughter one particular time that he'd be more concerned if the bruises were on the insides of the arms or legs (or anywhere where you're less likely to knock yourself)

He’s 10. He’s a footballer (defender) training 3 x a week and playing 2 matches. He also trains 2 x week for badminton and swims once a week.

The bruises are ALWAYS on shins and knees. Occasionally he gets one on his arm but that’s rare. Never anything I wouldn’t expect but he just marks quite easily!

I wouldn’t be so worried in that case. All mine have many a bruise on their legs from contact sports and especially when he’s a defender. As others have said if the bruises were else were and in non contact areas I’d be worried but as you mention above nothing to worry about for sure
