Mesenteric Lymphadenopathy

Hi All

my 6 yr old kid having on off pains in stomach with gadtric issues
after scan, he was diagnosed with enlarged lymph nodes in stomach
anyone had similar issues? What treatment you fodllowed? I want my son to be active as before

I guess it depends on the cause of the swollen lymph glands - did the doctors say anything? One of my DC gets mesenteric adenitis a couple of times a year. Always triggered by a viral illness - it causes the lymph glands in the stomach to swell up and it's incredibly painful (similar type and location to appendicitis pain) for up to 2 weeks. No great advice - we treat with paracetamol, rest and heat packs until it goes away.

There aren't really specific treatments other than standard pain relief when things are bad; distraction and hot/cold pressure often good alongside this.

Thanks, he is recovered from extreme pain after antibiotics but he is very gassy and not feel energetic
