Black poop from 2 year old?

Hi, any experience please? My almost 2 year old has had 4 very black stools. The first one yesterday I went straight to the gp. Both doctors had a look (I took it with us) they said it’s melena and smells like it too. They also said they could feel a hard mass on her right belly. The hospital treated her quickly when we got there they thought the worst but her bloods were normal. They sent us home with laxatives. Since then she’s had 3 more so we took her back today and they’re refusing said her bloods were ok yesterday so she’s absolutely fine? I am so confused as it looks so alarming. She is fine in herself. But I’m still worried they have sent a sample of but will take 3 days and they said to contact the gp. Has anyone had this happen? These are the worst 2 the other two was half normal half black, the last one she’s had is still very very dark but I would think has a green colour. She does eat blueberries but this has never happened before.

Looks like a blueberry poop to me

all you can do is wait for the stool sample result unless she becomes unwell

Melena is almost always a lot less solid than that. I can certainly see why they wanted to start laxatives.

Thank you she is fine in herself, she has been twice since the 4 black ones and it’s normal colour however very very smelly and runny. Good job I didn’t give the laxative right away! Results still aren’t back. She is complaining of tummy pain but is fine otherwise!
